RootsTech held in Salt Lake City, Utah, is the largest family history event in the world. This year there were around 13,000 paid registrants from all 50 U.S. states and 37 different countries. There were more than 240 presentations on a wide variety of genealogy topics that attendees could select from. The exhibit hall was huge with more than 100 vendors displaying their products and services.
For the seventh consecutive year, ArkivDigital, was an exhibitor. Janet Carlson, Kathy Meade and Lorna Nelson led a Power Hour titled, “The Power of Swedish Research Using ArkivDigital”. The Power Hour was a new feature this year consisting of three presenters giving 15-minute presentations followed by a 15-minute question and answer session. It was a fun hour sharing new features within ArkivDigital. In addition, Kathy Meade, demonstrated ArkivDigital in the demo theater as well as giving a lecture on “Swedish-American Church Books – A Great Genealogical Resource!”.
Each day, there were a stream of visitors stopping by our booth requesting to learn more about our services and Swedish genealogy. Many sought help in discovering where in Sweden their ancestor came from, translation help on records as well as questions on how to search within ArkivDigital.
We wish to thank all our customers who stopped by the booth to say hello. Many told us how appreciative they are of ArkivDigital and how they love the new features within ArkivDigital especially all the new search indexes with index records in English.
