We have made a new updating of our index, Deaths, parts of Sweden! This time the update includes 184,294 name searchable entries for persons who died in different Stockholm parishes.
The parishes and years that have been added to the index, Deaths parts of Sweden, are listed below:

- Centralfängelset på Norrmalm 1827 – 1893
- Göta livgardes församling 1840 – 1861
- Hedvig Eleonora 1710 – 1868
- Jakob och Johannes 1736 – 1884
- Klara 1748 – 1860
- Kungsholmen 1688 – 1862
- Riddarholmen 1738 – 1807
- Storkyrkoförsamlingen 1725 – 1874
The death index makes it easier to find the death record you are searching for. You do not need to browse page by page in the death book. Now a quick search in the index is sufficient. When you find the correct person, you can click on a link to the original source record to verify the information in the index record.
The following information is searchable in the death index.
- First name
- Last name
- Death parish
- Death and/or burial date
There are now approximately 1.2 million entries in the index, Deaths, parts of Sweden. We continue to make updates to the index from all over Sweden so keep an eye on our blog and other social media about updates.
