Mikael Karlsson, Managing Direction since 2012, is pleased with the fine results. Now the focus is on significantly increasing the number of subscribers. Several new initiatives are underway.

Mikael Karlsson says, “It is most important that we broaden our operations, not only offer our customers digitized archival documents and searchable indexes but also a cloud-based family tree. The tree will enable subscribers to gather and structure the information that they discover about their family from the archival documents.”

Below is a summary of the major initiatives where the company’s focus is directed:

  • Continued digitalization of archival documents and other sources.
  • More indexes and other types of indexes which make it easier to search in the archives.
  • Create more educational tools and help functions, especially for beginners.
  • Launch the family tree that will make it possible for customers to not only collect information from ArkivDigital but to gather and structure it.
  • Smoother payment solutions and more effective marketing.
  • Increased interactivity between ArkivDigital and researchers but also directly between researchers, one being through the family tree.

“In short, ArkivDigital shall be better in all areas,”  says Mikael Karlsson.

The Annual Shareholder’s Meeting will be held at the company’s headquarters in Lyrestad on May 23rd. The company proposes a dividend of 30 öre per share.
