Swedish-American church books from Colorado are now online

We have exciting news! We have just added newly photographed images of Swedish-American church books from Colorado. These records were photographed this summer. This new collection includes records from the following churches:

  2. Bethany Lutheran Church, Denver
  3. Bethesda Lutheran Church, Boulder
  4. First Lutheran Church, Boulder
  5. Mount Calvary Lutheran Church, Boulder

  7. Swedish Evangelical Lutheran Church, Golden

We have photographed many types of documents, everything from congregation books, birth, marriage and death books to protocols, church accounts and much more.

Virtual ArkivDigital Genealogy Workshop – September 25

The Lindsborg Old Mill and Swedish Heritage Museum in Lindsborg, Kansas will be hosting a virtual Swedish genealogy workshop on Saturday, September 25 from 9:00 AM to 4 PM Central Daylight Time. Kathy Meade of ArkivDigital will be one of the presenters. Registration will be limited to 100 attendees.

Four presentations on ArkivDigital and Swedish genealogy will be given during the day. Conference specials will be offered to registered attendees. The presentations will be the following:

We continue to update our birth index with searchable information for the years 1750-1799. We have added information about persons who were born in Södermanland, Värmland and Västernorrland counties. The information for Västernorrland is completely new for this period but for parts of Södermanland and Värmland information for some parishes for this period has been available for some time but we have now added information for additional parishes in these counties.

This update includes 146,610 new searchable posts.
